Staying Active and Having Fun
Here are some pics from my triathlon a few weeks ago and my wife's 5K last weekend:

The swim. Did just under 1 mile in Utah Lake -- it was a little bit chilly. I'm there in the middle in the white swim cap.

Bike leg was 25 miles. Someday I'll get better bike, but for now this is all I've got. It's tough getting passed by the fast people on their tri bikes. : )

Run. 6.2 miles. Legs felt a little tight.
Always nice to cross the finish line.

Biggest. Fan. Ever. She's 4 months old now.

My mom and wife before their 5K run.

Sprint to the finish.

The finish line. They are somewhere in that sea of people.
Hope you enjoyed the pics. Stay active and have fun!: )

Taylor Time
We also found out that Taylor has eczema--dry, itchy skin that rashes easily. The poor baby is smart though and has figured out that her little nails are good for scratching those itchy spots. The doctor gave us a prescription cream to help, so her skin should be looking better soon. She takes after her aunt Rebecca on this one...sorry kid!
Despite her itchy skin, Taylor is a very happy baby. This smiley shot was taken a few days ago at 6:30am...she is definitely a morning person!
In other development news, we think T might be just barely starting to grow some teeth. We can't see any yet, but she loves to grab our fingers and chew/suck on them and the girl drools like nothing else! Having a wet collar and dripping chin is standard for her now.
Little T has also developed quite the personality. She is so intrigued with people and loves to study and grab at faces. She's also learned to use that little voice of hers...she coos and screams happily all day long (unless it is bedtime--not such happy screaming at that point).
Taylor recently had some good bonding time with her 2nd cousin Lainey Rice and her great grandparents, Mami Yoli and Papi Chale.
Here's a "generations" shot: The great-grandparents, the grandparents, the parents, and the babies of the Cabrera side of the family...hmmmm, who looks the most white? You'd never guess she's a quarter Guatemalan from that pasty skin...guess she does look like her mommy!
Well, that's all we've got for now. Blake and I love being parents to such a darling girl. We are grateful to both our moms (and dads and siblings!) for taking such good care of our daughter while Blake and I are at work. It's not easy to leave that sweet girl each day, but we feel so blessed to live by family and have so much support. We love you all!

Pics from the Camera Phone
Here's Taylor in her stroller earlier today when we went on a walk. She was pretty grumpy. She fell asleep pretty fast though. We walked for about an hour while mommy cleaned the house. :) (Don't worry, I helped... I cleaned the tub).
Here's T waking up from a nap at Grandma Hagen's house. She's a cutie when she wakes up... most of the time.
This is a shot of my computer screen one time when I was watching Taylor for the day. She was in the other room but I set up the cam so I could keep an eye on her while I worked. Emily enjoyed watching it from her work too.
Just a funny pic of Little T. I think this was in the morning before we took her to grandma's. She's usually pretty alert and happy in the mornings.
Another one of the same. This was taken right after the other. She is becoming a really smiley baby. She also can grab things and talk now - in her own little baby way.
Sleepy head. She loves to cuddle. She's a great baby and she's a lot less fussy now. We like that.
